You will meet various historical and fictional characters, such as King Alfred of Wessex, Ragnar Lodbrok, Aethelflaed, etc. You will also visit many authentic locations, such as Lindisfarne, York, Dublin, etc.
The story mode has multiple endings, depending on your choices and actions throughout the game. You can also influence the fate of other characters, such as your companions, allies, enemies, etc. The story mode is not linear, so you can explore the world at your own pace and do various side quests and activities.
Sandbox Mode
Viking Conquest also features a sandbox mode, where you can create your own character and adventure in an all new setting. The sandbox mode has expanded options and controls compared to the original Warband.
